Beginner Kayak Schools

For 2011, we’re offering an eight-day beginner/intermediate kayak school on the Rogue River. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the sport of whitewater kayaking and relax as you journey down the Rogue River. The first three days will be spent learning the basics of whitewater kayaking, complete with classroom sessions and plenty of practice. The final five days will be an expedition down the famous Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue.

Check out our post about our first kayak school of 2011 – a great way to learn more about our offerings and peruse a few gorgeous photos of the Rogue!

The Rogue River is the perfect place to learn to kayak. The rapids are mostly Class II with a few Class IIIs, perfect for beginning thrill seekers. If you do take a swim or two, the water is warm (in the 60s) and there is space in between the rapids to recover from potential mishaps.
